ROCCO starts 3 new research studies with MNOs into IPX Networks commencing August 1st 2017

We are pleased to announce 3 new Research Project for MNOs focussed on IPX. These surveys are about IPX Networks and their performance, leadership and featuring two research surveys on market pricing. The surveys will run for approximately 8 weeks starting this week. The surveys are for MNOs to respond to only and we have already received a commitment from several MNOs and groups to contribute.

This research follows last years IPX Networks Vendor Performance,  VoLTE Vision and IPX Big Data Research projects which were conducted with MNOs and Vendors. By conducting these three new Research projects ROCCO is aiming to support MNOs with a package of Research data to optimise their relationships with IPX Networks. Many MNOs have already agreed to take part and in the past we have always had a strong contribution from MNOs to these specific projects.

IPX Networks Vendor Performance Research 2017

For the fourth consecutive year ROCCO is analysing MNOs opinions on IPX Networks. IPX provide a number of services for Mobile Operators, what we are focused on is Data Roaming specifically. This Research is asking some tough questions about the vendors. Focussed on their performance, leadership and their LTE Roaming “live connections”. Over 25 Vendors appear in the research and its open for a short time for all MNOs to take part. Like always, we share our findings with the MNOs who take part, so if you complete this survey you will receive a free Executive Summary of all the aggregated feedback from all the Operators taking part.

The IPX Networks Vendor Performance Research Project has been requested by many Operators over the last year. By now hundreds of MNOs have sought the support of Vendors in making their LTE Roaming agreements. With the help of Industry specialists we have devised this survey which asks important questions about the performance of the IPX networks on the market. This Research will commence on August 1st and conclude at the end of September 2017.

IPX Networks Data Roaming Market Pricing Survey 2017

In 2015 ROCCO conducted Market Pricing Surveys. These surveys asked MNOs to submit details to ROCCO of what they thought was the Market Price for specific services. Over 100 MNOs shared their view of the Market Price and ROCCO produced a report which featured the global pricing models and views of the market pricing for IPX Networks Data Roaming services, by MNO type and by International region. In 2015, this project was hugely successful not only with MNOs who received a free summary of the findings but with Vendors too who were eager to understand what the market was doing. ROCCO is repeating this research project starting on August 2nd and will gather data for an undisclosed period (until it has received an adequate response to produce meaningful results). We anticipate owing to the response in 2015 and the summer period that this will be around 2 months. We conclude this years research will surpass the results received in 2015 owing to standards work being conducted in the GSMA which puts even more focus on the IPX Network.

Like always, we share our findings with the MNOs who take part, so if you complete this survey you will receive a free Executive Summary of all the aggregated feedback from all the Operators taking part. If you don’t take part, you will have the option to buy our report when the results are published.

Diameter Transactions Market Pricing Survey 2017

In 2015 ROCCO conducted Market Pricing Surveys. These surveys asked MNOs to submit details to ROCCO of what they thought was the Market Price for specific services. Over 100 MNOs shared their view of the Market Price and ROCCO produced a report which featured the global pricing models and views of the market pricing for Diameter Transactions. We uncovered a 1000% difference in pricing for the same service comparing MNO type and International region. We received a lot of encouragement from MNOs who wrote to us with how useful this research was and how it helped them plan for the future strategy.  ROCCO is repeating this research project starting on August 3rd and will gather data for an undisclosed period (until it has received an adequate response to produce meaningful results). We anticipate owing to the response in 2015 and the summer period that this will be around 2 months. We conclude this years research will surpass the results received in 2015 owing to standards work being conducted in the GSMA which puts even more focus on the IPX Network.

Like always, we share our findings with the MNOs who take part, so if you complete this survey you will receive a free Executive Summary of all the aggregated feedback from all the MNOs taking part. If you don’t take part, you will have the option to buy our report when the results are published.

Why ROCCO is conducting this research

We don’t want to oversell the value of this research since we do not have the results at this time, but we believe as we saw from the results in 2015 that the data is very valuable to the market and we hope that MNOs will participate based on an understanding that under no circumstances has ROCCO ever disclosed MNO information to any other party. Nor has ROCCO ever allowed another company to sponsor our research. We are not like other research companies, we are not driven by work opportunities but by producing research which brings true insights into the market.

In case of any doubt our CEO Jason Bryan and Project Manager Stefano de Zottis is available for discussions as to the nature of the research and our methodology. Please contact us at hq@roamingconsulting.com
